Nothing wrong with wearing certain women's socks

Stylish men who don't compromise and want to both show ankle skin and keep their feet dry would go to great lengths to wear footies for men (e.g. as suggested here), only to find out that the women's counterpart is very similar and readily available! Read the original post here.

As for me, I just got a pair of opaque nylon socks from clearance boxes. Can't wait to put them with my dress loafers...

Live Post: Upcoming Capital Outlays

Here is a "live" list of upcoming capital outlays, i.e. wardrobe stuff I may need to buy:

• Earth-tone dress pants (wear with brown/burgundy shoes?), [Black Saturday shopping]
• Solid grey pants (wear with black shoes?), [Sept 6, 2010]
• A solid yellow shirt, long sleeve,
• A solid/striped dark red shirt, long sleeve, [Black Friday shopping]
• A shirt with stripes, long sleeve, [Black Saturday shopping]
• Some matching socks (mercerized cotton? sheer socks?) [Dec. 18, 2010 - use or lose a $10 coupon!]
• Brown casual shoes (lace up or slip on?) [Dec. 18, 2010: See this post].
• Some sort of buckle shoes (Added Dec. 2010)

Here is a "live" list of items already bought, ready to be "commissioned:"

• Black lace up dress shoes,
• Black shiny penny loafers,
• Sheer socks,
• Solid grey trousers/pants,
• Dark blue shirt.

I will be posting descriptions of such items (brands, purchase price) as I get ready to wear them! I anticipate items bought in September to start first week of October, and items from October/November to start by December if I make purchases on time for Labor day and Fall sales.
